Dried Licorice (Yashtimadhu/ Mulethi) roots: 500 g
Wash the roots thoroughly and sun-dry. Grind the roots using an electric mixer grinder to get a coarse powder. Store this powder in an air-tight glass container, for up to 6 months. You can add couple of tsp of Trikatu powder into Yashtimadhu powder.
Mix about ½ teaspoon of this powder with ½ cup milk and 1 cup of water, boil for 5 minutes with stirring, sieve and consume.
Consuming this milk twice daily after food, builds immunity. It helps regain strength during convalescence. It is a choice of adjuvant in the treatment of any illness that causes emaciation.
1-2 years: 4 teaspoons of milk
3-6 years: 4-6 teaspoons of milk
6-12 years: 1/8 cup
12 years +: ½ cup
Use daily for 3-6 months, if further needed, discontinue for a month and start again.
